The process of a black hole

The sponge is a good thing that you can relate to a BLACK HOLE! This is why........

When you pick up a sponge and squeeze it it becomes a ball. The ball is pressured down.So there is gravity on the sponge so it can not open back up in your hand. That s the same thing as a black hole.

The black hole is pressured down only by gravity into a ball but because it is small with pressure it gets powerful with gravity so it becomes a hole. This hole does bring light and objects in but does not let them out(they get shredded into pieces and baked )((it is so hot inside)).THAT IS A BLACK HOLE!There are more steps for forming one but we all ready said it.

this diagram of a black hole is a bit fuzzy, but it has the scientific formula in the corner and that might be helpful. (don't ask me what this means, I don't speak science) :)

The layers of a BLACK HOLE!

There are 3 layers in a black hole some are........

• The Outer Horizon- outer layer you can still be safe and get out of the this layer


• The Inner Event Horizon-Inner layer you probly not ably to get out of the BLACK HOLE!!!!


• And The Singularity- you are NOT able to get out it is the CENTER!!!!(YOU WOULD BE DEAD)

How are black holes detected if the one that can give us information is light years away???

During the collapse of the star radio frequency signals are emitted by rapidly swirling matter being pulled into the black hole

Those signals can be detected on earth!!!

The truth about the Shooting Star

A Shooting Star is actually not a star so it will not turn into a BLACK HOLE. It is a meteorite and it catches on fire while going through the atmosphere.

MORE INFO!!!!!!!

-if material falls into a black hole, it is shredded and then heated to extreme temperatures(so there's NO chance of survival) :)
-if you get too close to a black hole, and it's gravitational pull will suck you in(just like earth!)
-if by any chance the sun was replaced by a black hole of the same mass, the earth's orbit would be unchanged!(although it would be a LOT colder!)

The Process of a Giant Blue Star becoming a Black Hole

This is the Process of a Super Giant Blue Star Turning into a BLACK HOLE

• At first the star dies (of course)
• Then the star explodes this is called a Super Nova
• The Super Nova takes most of the star away
• The star gets smaller and smaller
• If there is enough star it will be as big as a atom
• It will then have a lot of gravity and turn into a black hole!

What we know so far...

-black holes are where there's a HUGE amount of mass in a very small area

-Even light can't escape black holes

-most black holes are about the size of large stars

-scientists assume there are black holes in the middle of every galaxy because there's one inthe middle of ours.

-black holes can form in many different ways

-one type of black hole is the stellar black hole

-astronauts think that stellar black holes can only hold as much mass as about 10 of our suns. but however they have found 1 stellar black hole with 15.65 times as much as our sun

-a black hole forms when an extremely massive star explodes
